This project concluded on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Thank you to everyone who participated.

What is your vision for a vibrant arts scene in Richmond?

The arts are integral to vibrant communities. Participation helps us get to know each other, and impacts our health, our economy and overall well-being in remarkable ways. The arts make us happier, healthier, better students and better scientists; they help us recover from injury, help us enjoy our later years and so much more.

The City of Richmond is developing a new Arts Strategy to enrich our quality of life through broad accessibility and engagement with the arts. The Strategy will serve as a guide for decision-making to empower ideas, people and resources around a shared vision and set of goals, strategies and tactics.

Tell us how you think we can best move the arts forward in our communities. You are invited to take part in a range of engagement activities, including an online survey, community dialogue sessions, public cultural cafes, pop-up kiosks and more.

How to contribute to the Arts Strategy:

1. Complete the survey at howartworks.ca/survey* by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018

We are seeking input from people like you, who live, work and play in Richmond. How do you engage in the arts? In what ways do you use the City’s cultural facilities? What should be a priority in terms of arts investment? Share your vision for the future of the arts in Richmond—have your say! Survey available in English and Chinese.

2. Drop by one of 40 interactive engagement opportunities

The ArtWorks community engagement team has been setting up in public spaces and at events around Richmond, seeking feedback and ideas from the community. You are invited to take part in a range of engagement activities now through June 3. Visit howartworks.ca/richmond-arts-strategy* for updates on where the ArtWorks team will be.

3. Connect and Share

We want to hear from with you! Email your ideas to culture@richmond.ca. Follow us on Instagram @howartworks or on Twitter and Facebook #ArtWorksRichmond
