Consultation has concluded

This project ran Wednesday, May 12 to Monday, May 24, 2021. Thank you to everyone who participated.

Tell us what you think of encouraging leased offices in the City Centre.

The City wants to accommodate larger, dynamic companies in sectors like IT, creative, education and immigration services in the City Centre. However, most recent office development in the City Centre has been sold as small strata units, which are not flexible enough for these companies. While the future of the office market is uncertain these days, it is important not to lose the opportunity to attract large, growing companies that contribute to Richmond's economic development.

Richmond already has incentives for large strata units in the City Centre, and we are now considering refining these to focus directly on encouraging leased space in new developments close to the Canada Line.

Complete the 5-10 minute survey to help us understand the office market and decide how to proceed. The survey includes more details about market context, current policy, and refinements and policy alternatives the City is considering.
