This engagement took place January 23 to February 12, 2023. Thank you to everyone who participated.

It's time to renew and replace your playground

What’s happening?

We are inviting the public to take part in shaping the design of three neighbourhood park playground replacement projects in 2023.

The three parks are:

  • Heather Dolphin Neighbourhood Park at 9260 Dolphin Avenue
  • Great West Cannery Park at 12691 No. 2 Road
  • Odlinwood Neighbourhood Park at 10811 Shepherd Drive

The City’s parks and open space system offers over 80 playgrounds for residents to enjoy. The City's replacement program aims to ensure that playgrounds are safe, reliable and continue to serve the changing recreational needs of the community.

Share your input

You are invited to learn about the renewal program and share your ideas for the future park playground. As part of the planning process, the City is committed to seeking input from children and parents/guardians that use the park, area residents and stakeholders. The results of this process will lead to a playground design concept for implementation later this year.

To participate

  1. CLICK ON EACH OF THE CIRCLE ICONS BELOW to visit the individual playground project (they will open a new page)
  2. Review the playground renewal information by viewing / downloading the associated project PDF document
  3. COMPLETE THE FEEDBACK FORM by the deadline: Sunday, February 12, 2023 11:59pm.

Thank you for your time, let's get started!
