We're rebuilding this important community facility and invite you to participate in the development of the concept design.

Concept Design Charrette Daily Progress Sessions A series of facility design charrette progress sessions were held February 10 to 12, 2021 led by the project architect, HDR. Participants had an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback that was considered as the design work continued. The concepts from the charrettes will help inform future engagement opportunities. The concept(s) will be further refined and presented for feedback here starting March 4, 2021.

A new Steveston Community Centre and Branch Library has been identified by Council as a priority to replace the existing aging and outdated facility. Council has endorsed:
a new facility of 60,350 sq. ft.
a site for the new facility within the Steveston Community Park.
We are at the next step in the process - to develop the concept design, which will help determine the building orientation within the specified site, floor layout, form and character, as well as parking and other support amenities.
