Recycled cooking oil and grease from this pilot will be used to create Renewable Natural Gas.
What is the City hoping to learn from this pilot program?
We’ll be monitoring to see if this recycling program reduces the amount of build up from oil and grease in City sewer pipes, and we will be assessing how well the program works for our residents.
Can I use my own container to collect my oil and grease?
You must use the collection containers provided by the City because they are made from a type of plastic that shreds easily to remove the materials during processing.
