Thank you for your interest in participating. We are recruiting up to 20 participants (aged 55+) to help identify opportunities to make the Thompson and Sea Island neighbourhoods more age-friendly.
Age-friendly neighbourhoods support seniors with wide-ranging needs and resources to remain healthy, active and engaged. For this reason, we are seeking seniors living in the Thompson and Sea Island neighbourhoods with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, needs and abilities to participate.
Neighbourhood Group Details
- Up to 20 participants will be selected based on eligibility and availability. Selection will be made amongst eligible applicants, with steps taken to ensure diverse representation.
- No special expertise is required.
- This is a short-term commitment - the group will meet five (5) times from May to June.
- To be eligible, applicants must be 55+ years and live in the Thompson/Sea Island neighbourhoods.
- Applications are being accepted until 11:59pm on Sunday, May 10, 2026
- All applicants will be notified of the status of their application by Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
- A final report and recommendations will be published in late 2026.
