About Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site
Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site is a public heritage site that shares Steveston's fishing and boatbuilding history through exhibits and programs.
The site is open to visitors free of charge, with some select experiences, such as guided tours, requiring payment.
As restoration of the site's heritage buildings nears completion, the City of Richmond is reviewing options to support the site's long-term sustainability including potential changes to access and admission.
What we are exploring
The project is currently in the research phase.
The City wants to better understand visitor sentiment about the possibility of introducing admission fees.
