The City of Richmond's Dike Master Plan outlines the process to upgrade the city’s dike in advance of sea level rise and other climate change-related flood hazards. The plan has been divided into 5 phases that recommend dike upgrade options for each dike section throughout Richmond. Dike Master Plan - Phase 4  includes recommendations for the north dike between No. 6 Road and Boundary Road.

The City of Richmond is accelerating its flood protection programs. The City Council has adopted a 50-year timeline for dike upgrades to enhance flood resilience and to raise the perimeter dike well in advance of the projected sea level rise.
