Can you provide a water-proof sign that can be staked in participating gardens? That would make more people aware of the project and hopefully deter disturbing/littering the patch. That bee logo under "pollinator facts" with a phrase like "Richmond Nectar Trail" would be a good visual. Thank you.

Hi JI! Thanks for your comment. We have pollinator ambassador signs that we are giving away at community events. Our next event is from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 15 at the Kwantlen Farmers Market (located on the Richmond Cultural Centre Plaza at 7700 Minoru Gate). We will be handing out free seeds and signage for this initiative. Hope to see you there!

Where are the various seeds and plants available for free or to purchase?

Level 2

Hi Ken! Thanks for your question. West Coast Seeds has donated seed packages for the Nectar Trail program. They are available at the Richmond Nature Park until Saturday, June 21. Seed blends are available at nurseries for purchase, but keep in mind that some blends contain invasive plant seeds. We would recommend a company that is local and has created suitable blends for our pacific climate. We are happy to help you determine a suitable pollinator blend for your space.
