What is happening
The playground at McLean Neighbourhood Park, built in the 1990s, is a key feature of the park and serves an important gathering place for children in the community. The playground includes two separated play areas, featuring two play structures, two swing sets, an embankment slide and a springer. However, due to the age of the equipment, it now requires more frequent maintenance and is due for replacement.
The City is seeking feedback from the community on the current playground and ideas for its future renewal. A playground concept design will be developed based on your input with construction slated to begin in early 2026.
We want your input
As part of the planning process, the City is committed to gathering feedback from children who use the park, area residents and other stakeholders. The insight gathered will help shape the playground design and influence the selection of play equipment.
