What is happening
The City is renewing six playgrounds — Agassiz Neighbourhood Park, Albert Airey Neighbourhood Park, Park Lane Neighbourhood Park, Richmond Olympic Oval Riverside Park, Sea Island Community Centre Park and Wowk Neighbourhood School Park — to ensure they remain safe, inclusive and enjoyable for years to come.
These playgrounds, built in the last 20 years, are reaching the end of their lifespan and require replacement. As part of this process, we are exploring opportunities to enhance play experiences, improve accessibility and incorporate sustainable design elements.
We want to hear from you
Your input will help guide the design and play features of each playground. There are two types of playgrounds we are seeking your feedback on: neighbourhood and timber playgrounds.
Visit the project pages below to learn more about each playground, review design considerations, and share your ideas.
Completed surveys will be accepted until 11:59pm on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
